Chris Carroll

Ex Officio Board Member

Chris works as a fisheries biologist for the United States Forest Service for Boulder Ranger District of the Arapaho and Roosevelt National Forests and Pawnee National Grassland. While he is based in Fort Collins at the forest supervisor’s office, he also has an office in Boulder where he has worked since 2011. He graduated in 2008 from the University of Wyoming with a degree in Wildlife and Fisheries Biology and Management and worked previously on the Routt National Forest in Steamboat Springs. He’s most interested in balancing public resource use and infrastructure with ecosystems and hydraulic function. The September 2013 flood presented many challenges for the forest and its managers, but through dialogue and hard work with partners, the forest has achieved a great deal of recovery and resiliency for its watersheds. Through continued efforts alongside partners, the watersheds of the forest will continue to heal where new opportunities develop.
