
Monica Bortolini
Voting Board Member
Monica joined the City of Longmont in October 2016. She received her B.A. Degree in Geology from the University of Colorado and her M.S. Degree in Water Resources Engineering from Colorado State University. She began her 27 year career in water resources engineering in 1989 as an intern with Woodward Clyde Consultants in Denver. During her years at URS Corporation, she focused on flooding and drainage issues working with FEMA and local municipalities, eventually transitioning into a Floodplain and Master Planning Program Manager for a local stormwater authority. Monica is a Professional Engineer in Colorado and a Certified Floodplain Manager (national certification). She is actively involved in the Colorado Association of Stormwater and Stormwater Managers (CASFM), especially on the CRS and Outreach and Training Committees and Association of State Floodplain Managers (ASFPM). She is also a member of the American Public Works Association (APWA).
