Forest Program Manager
Chiara is passionate about conducting research and restoration efforts with diverse stakeholders to support resilient ecosystems for the benefit of all. She has a wide range of research experience, from studying the impacts of climate change on plant ecology in alpine and agricultural systems to conducting survey research on the use of climate change research in land management decisions. Chiara received her PhD in Ecology and Evolutionary Biology from the University of Colorado Boulder in 2021 after completing her Bachelor’s degree in Plant Ecology and Environmental Education at Hampshire College in 2016. As the Forest Program Manager for the Watershed Center, Chiara works with scientists, stakeholders, and community members toward collaborative adaptive forest management that enhances ecosystem and community resilience to climate change and wildfire. Chiara also coordinates Watershed Center education programming, including K-12 education experiences. In her free time, Chiara loves mountain biking, backcountry skiing, tending to her 27 houseplants, and making dinner with friends.
