Ditch operations and fish are essential to our communities, but both are challenged in a drier climate future. Learn more about these challenges and multi-benefit solutions. Join a relaxed crowd for a nine-mile bike ride in the heart of Boulder County’s agricultural landscape. Stop at local farms, talk with farmers, water managers, and scientists, and learn about ditches and their operations.
Speakers include: Dan Lisco of Sombrero Farm, John Schlagel of Niwot Farm, Wyatt Barnes of Red Wagon Farm, Michael Moss of Kilt Farm, Sean Cronin of the St. Vrain and Left Hand Water Conservancy District, and Left Hand Watershed Center.
Our last stop will have lunch provided by Georgia Boys BBQ. Most of the ride will be on paved roads, but there will be some packed dirt roads. Bring plenty of water, but we will have water with the sag wagon and there will be bathrooms at multiple stops.
